Maybe this was a test if I correctly would perform a go-around in this case. The next problem was that I got my landing clearance after landing. The clearance for interception was a bit late, but it worked. I selected the first "t" and got instructions to fly headings (with 1° resolution) for approach "Tango" and descend to given altitudes, including QNH instructions. I only got about 20 approaches named "t" to select from. At some point it asked me to select an approach. Nevertheless, it will repeat the descend command. The documentation warns that the program is not aware of the terrain and descend commands must be followed with care. The main problems started on the approach. I followed these instructions with directs. Then it keeps asking you to fly a heading to the waypoints you entered. The program let me select a departure which is strange since it selected the takeoff runway and also knows the first waypoint. From that point, you are properly handed from controller to controller and I followed these instructions. Could be that Aerosoft forgot to set the delivery. There is a dialog to select a frequency, and you have to use the ground in EDDT. I got my clearance in a recognizable voice output after inserting a flight plan with waypoints and airways. There are also datarefs for showing the text output, the frequency selector or a debugging screen, which you can assign to keyboard commands. I was flying the FlightFactor A320, so maybe it is better to handle the FMGS myself. There is a settings dialog where you can switch off the text output, the FMS handling, and a lot of other things. You put the folder named 124thATC into the plugins folder of X-Plane. It seems I found the most recent release candidate which is stored in the Dropbox of the developer. The program is free, however, and thus you cannot blame anybody. Judging from the dates in the forums, I have my doubts. I have no idea how well the development is proceeding. The main page asks you to apply for Beta testing. So I checked 124thATC by Antonello Matacchieri which is really easy to install once you find the correct download. And some are shy to use VATSIM or IVAO, and moreover, there is only sparse ATC coverage in both networks most of the time. The built-in system of X-Plane is generally not regarded as useable. This is targeted at re-selling and guerilla marketing.I know that many sim pilots are searching for an alternative way to get good ATC.
